About Us
Marin Parent Patch is a community hub for families with children ages 0–12 in Marin County. We’re here to make parenting easier, brighter, and more connected—because raising kids should feel supported, not overwhelming.
We focus on Marin’s lower-middle-class families, who often earn too much to qualify for help but still struggle with the high cost of living. Essentials may be covered, but extras—like sports, music, art classes, or enrichment programs—often feel out of reach. We’re here to change that.
Along with our growing library of family resources, local guides, expert advice, and kid-friendly activities, we also fund sponsorships for children’s programs so every child has the chance to participate, grow, and belong.
At Marin Parent Patch, we’re building a village—one where families feel connected, supported, and empowered to give their children the experiences they deserve.

Mission
Marin Parent Patch celebrates families and strengthens communities by providing parents and caregivers with trusted resources, meaningful connections, and opportunities that help children and families thrive together.
Vision
We envision a Marin where families feel supported, connected, and empowered - with easy access to resources, a strong sense of community, and opportunities that make raising children joyful for generations to come.
Core Values
Community First: Families thrive when they feel connected.
Trust & Integrity: Parents deserve reliable, transparent information.
Inclusivity & Belonging: All families are welcome and celebrated here.
Joyful Learning & Play: Childhood is meant for discovery and fun.
Collaboration & Support: We grow stronger by working together.

Meet The Team

Michelle Turnbull
Michelle grew up in Marin and is a proud mother of two boys. Inspired by her own experience navigating parenthood in a high-cost area as a middle-class family, she founded Marin Parent Patch to support families who often fall through the cracks of traditional assistance programs.
She has a deep love for Marin and believes it is an exceptional place to raise children, with abundant enrichment opportunities that help set them up for future success. However, she recognizes that many of these programs remain out of reach for middle-income families who do not qualify for traditional assistance - an access gap she is committed to addressing.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys exploring Marin's parks, playgrounds, and hiking trails with her family, as well as baking, cooking, doing arts and crafts, and discovering new places across the Bay Area.
